Needing new subject matter
Are you tired of seeing paintings of my boys yet? That's too bad. You have to see at least two more. This one is to hang over Grayson's bed, and I'll be doing one the same size of Grant to go over his new "big boy bed" he got this weekend. Then there will be one more for my mother in law of all three of her grandboys, but after that NO MORE!

That looks really great. What do you paint with? And it is amazing how each side of the family is represented through the boys. One boy looks like you and the other Jeff. You have a sweet family.

Thanks, Joey! I paint with acrylic paint on canvas.
The great thing about the boys, too, is that even though Grayson looks like Jeff, his personality is more like mine, and Grant's is more like Jeff's!

I think it's really great, Jess. I can see progress with your painting. It's great that you're proud enough to show them off as well. Keep 'em coming!

Thanks, Chris. It's getting easier, and I agree they're getting better too. I don't know about being proud of them, though. I still brace myself everytime I post one, waiting for someone to tell me I suck.

I should hope they keep their opinions to themselves if they want to tell you that!!!!! I think your style is really eye catching. So what will your new subject matter be?

WOW! That is probably my favorite!
I didn't really look at it well the other day. It really is great.
I love your brushstrokes. That's probably my favorite part.
:)

Arizaphale, I'm not sure what my new subject matter will be! I promised Megan a painting of birds for her birthday, other than that, the well is dry!

You definitely have a talent for capturing a person's essence. Moods are hard to paint, but Grayson's mischievous little smile is right there (hiding in the dimples, ha ha). Who on earth would ever say anything negative about these? Keep painting the boys!
